Written From My Futon
Were It Not For

A clothing steamer, two lanterns,
batteries outnumbering the states,
a sack of blue scalp scrubbers,
holed socks for which I hoped to
find a new use, a hair-clipping kit,
a jump rope, swimming goggles,
three tennis balls, a microphone,
six finely-crafted notebooks,
a self-healing mat, bottled water,
books, a Ravenclaw banner,
a plastic pitcher, fashion print,
some mediocre space movies,
socks begging a folding, the guide
to this year’s Tom Tom festival,
a Christmas ornament, an empty
pitcher, a calendar, the remains
of an Easter Basket, audio cabling,
a bulb, a bunny, and a bear
whose name is William too.
